When we launched the inaugural Homebrew Heroes competition last year, Pasteur Street’s goal was simple: to build a bridge between our taps and the raw passion of the local semi-professional homebrewing community. What we received in return went far beyond our expectations—an overwhelming wave of support and incredibly talented brewers.
Last year, out of 4 bold pioneers, Mr. Pham Thai Long brilliantly claimed the Grand Champion title with his HH1 Pale Ale. Following his victory, this winning recipe was scaled up for large-scale production and served across our entire Pasteur Street Taproom network, receiving fantastic feedback from our guests.
And what about this year?
Our community hasn’t just grown; it has absolutely exploded. The passion and scale have multiplied with 16 official registrations locked in for Homebrew Heroes 2 (HH2). This lineup promises a highly versatile, creative, and full-of-surprises season.
As our homebrewers stepped up their game, Pasteur Street had to do the same. To match the grand scale of HH2, the prize structure has been substantially upgraded in value, thanks to the collaboration of our strategic partners.

Please pack your beer bottles carefully, double-check your bottle caps, and submit your samples to Pasteur Street on time.

Even if you aren’t competing directly this year, you still hold the most important role: getting your palate ready to enjoy a masterpiece. With passionate minds entering the arena, the upcoming variety of beer styles and flavor experiments is going to be magnificent. This is the ultimate proof of how vibrant and creative the Vietnamese homebrewing community has become.
Over the coming weeks, the Panel of Judges will evaluate and select the top 2 outstanding beer recipes to move forward into the Grand Finale. We are incredibly eager to discover the bold ideas and unique flavor profiles that the homebrewer community brings to the table this year.
